2026 NSW National Trust Heritage Awards

We are incredibly proud to share that GPG Architecture was awarded both the President’s Prize and a Highly Commended Award in the Architecture category for the Coolamon Hotel Redevelopment at the 2026 NSW National Trust Heritage Awards.

The Coolamon Hotel has been a truly special project for our practice and one that reflects the power of collaboration, persistence, and a shared vision for regional heritage.

From the very beginning in 2021, our clients Craig and Megan believed in the importance of restoring this much-loved pub as a place for the community to gather once again. Their passion, commitment, and long-term vision made this legacy project possible.

A huge thank you also to Future Flip, whose dedication, craftsmanship, and collaborative approach throughout the project helped deliver such an outstanding outcome. Working together over several years created a strong partnership and a shared commitment to balancing heritage conservation with contemporary hospitality outcomes.

This recognition also belongs to the many consultants, trades, suppliers, and project team members who contributed to the restoration and adaptive reuse of this significant regional landmark. It was a huge collective effort and something we are incredibly proud to have been part of.

The Coolamon Hotel now stands as an example of how heritage buildings can be thoughtfully restored and reactivated for future generations and the wider Riverina community.
