Construction Update: Connecting Home and Landscape with Purpose

Construction is progressing beautifully on our country homestead project on the outskirts of town. Designed to suit the needs of a growing young family, the home is being carefully reimagined to create a stronger sense of arrival, improve day-to-day function, and connect more closely with its rural setting.

A striking new entry is taking shape, with a sharp angular form and large black-framed glazed door that will welcome visitors with light and warmth. Inside, spaces have been reconfigured to support modern living — including a new three-way bathroom with laundry and mudroom, and a flexible guest suite with ensuite.

Outdoors, the pool pavilion is also underway. With its covered kitchen and dining area, enclosed bathroom, and change room, it will provide a relaxed extension of family life. Natural stone and timber cladding are being introduced to tie the new works back to the home’s existing features and the native landscape beyond.

We’re excited to see this project evolve into a more practical, adaptable, and inviting home — one that will support family life for years to come.
