Sympathetic addition to accommodate visiting family
Inspired by the large arch details, bell cast metal roof and traditional style lantern lighting of the main residence, a sympathetic addition was designed to meet the aesthetic preference of the client. The addition will consist of a sandstone block exterior with weatherboard accents. The roofline of the addition is consistent with the main residence.
The addition is semi contained, composed of two bedrooms, ensuite and laundry. The addition has been carefully added to the much-loved home, with a plan that creates a direct line of movement from the existing spaces to the new areas. The new rooms all feature garden focused spaces, pulling the presence of the garden deep within the home’s interior.
The project has been designed and documented utilising Autodesk Revit software. To enhance consistency of aesthetic and to streamline the project, our project lead Lee-Anne has also undertaken the colour, materials and finishes palette of the interiors.
The builder is Cooper Constructions and Kurt Leese Constructions.
