Harmonious addition to beautiful local homestead to enhance liveability
Construction is almost complete on a significant alterations and additions project located on a rural property south of Wagga Wagga. The owner's brief is to enhance function and livability by increasing the foot print to suit the needs of a young family. Interestingly, the contemporary barn style addition with a pronounced roof line and high ceilings mimics the architecture of the existing 1930s homestead. Furthermore, the exterior walls of the addition have been constructed to match the exterior walls of the existing homestead. We have deliberately designed the new pergola in the same style for the old and the new to further promote a cohesive aesthetic.
The addition extends directly from the existing kitchen. A butler's pantry was added to the existing kitchen. The addition consists of living/dining space, foyer, master bedroom and ensuite, laundry, bathroom, guest bedroom and double garage.
The appointed builder is Balding Constructions, who have yet again done an incredible job.
