MiCRO - 'Exploring the big ideas behind small space' held by the Regional Architecture Association
Gioia recently travelled to Mudgee to attend a three day event held by the Regional Architecture Association, titled MiCRO - 'Exploring The Big Ideas Behind Small Spaces'. The cohort explored the big ideas behind small spaces and practices. The program included site visits to Alex Scheibner's studio in Talerwin Forge, followed by Gawthorns Hut.
Speaker sessions were held on the grounds of Rosby Estate. The Mudgee Regional Gallery hosted guided sculpture walks. A number of topics were discussed including the process to acquire public art and sculpture through liaison with local Council.
On the final day, we were given a site visit to Glenn Murcutt's most recent project, followed by wine tastings at Yeates Wines Cellar Door. Rosby Wines and Gallery offered the best of local food and wine, thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.
